The work is made of Burma Jadeite. A carp is leaping over lotus blossoms. Hanging from its mouth is a string of copper coins (an ancient Chinese currency). On its back stands a bat carrying a pendant, which reads ¡°Harvest Year by Year¡±. Fishes, lotus blossoms, bats and others have been popular subject matters in traditional Chinese art.


They stand for harvest, affluence, good luck, etc. Besides being auspicious, the work is also very intriguing with a collection of cute animals.The features: ingenious application of the luster as well as the surface of the material. The work is of vivid and intriguing design and fine workmanship.
