God of Longevity

The sculpture of God of Longevity is made of Xinjiang Hetian white jade. His right hand leans on a dragon head-like walking stick while the left one holds a peach (usually offered as birthday presents in China). Ahead of him, a crane stands upright on the land where glossy ganoderma is growing. God of Longevity, bringing us health and long life according to ancient Chinese myths, has been a rather popular character in traditional New Year pictures. He is portrayed vividly with the finest workmanship, fully revealing his kindliness and amiability. The crane, a symbol of long life, is said to carry the God from place to place, while the glossy ganoderma, rare and precious, has been looked upon as an object of good luck.
