The table plaque in the shape of a gourd is made of Xinjiang Hetian white jade with Jigong as its main character. Jigong is a widely known monk and a legendary figure in the history, around whom lots of myths have arisen. He is enjoying a drink, fanning his battered fan, while a dog is crouching under his legs. His expressive face is extraordinarily vivid and lifelike. The work sheds light on his easy, unfettered and footloose life.The features: clever use of the surface of the material, unique design and elaborate workmanship.
