The piece is made of Canadian Jasper. It is said that the cup used for drinking can clear away heat and has the effect of detoxicating. The piece is an imitated one, its shape is like bronze Jue (an ancient wine vessel with three legs and a loop handle), with round leg. Narrow and wide lines draw the outlines of the cup mout, and taotie design decorates body of the cup. In the work, craftsman makes use of various carving technics, such as shadow, real line,hiding,emboss, engrave, and hollow.
